Architectural images in color

The way I always worked in color starts from a finished black-and-white image. Once I have the luminance values and contrast locked in, I add the original colors back in and then tweak it while ensuring luminance values are left in tact. It turns out that this is also how the human perceptual system works as it prioritizes luminance first and then color.
