Please be advised that today's (September 13, 2023) release of yet another major PS update v25.x.x (PS 2024) is causing problems in the Artisan Pro and Quick Mask Pro plugins. We're looking into that and already have solved one of the issues but there are several new issues introduced as a result of the new Adobe PS CC version. If you are used to working with the panels we recommend to not update to the PS CC 25.x. just yet. We will keep you updated and we will of course release a new update once we have fixed the issues.

Update 15 September 2023: we have identified and fixed a few issues already. There are a few others that we're in the progress of fixing right now and have been introduced with the latest PS CC version 25.x.x The older issue, that the restore sometimes works and sometimes not and introduced with the release earlier this year of PS CC 24.4.1 cannot be identified and can only be randomly reproduced. On a Mac with the previous CC version, v24.7.1 the restore issue is less frequent than on Windows. If you press restore 10 times, then the restore will work 9 out of 10 times on a Mac and roughly 5 out of 10 times on Windows. Undoing the failed restore by going back 1 step in history, and then trying restore again, especially when zoomed in will often result in a successful restore. There's no logic, no reason, nor is there any error code thrown in debug mode. This feature has always worked and has never been changed in the past 5 years. Therefore we suspect it's an Adobe inconsistency in their software. There's a possibility to work around it with extra steps in our software but that would make the panel slower and it is not the right way. We are considering that however if the issue persists for too long.

If you need to roll back to a previous version of PS then do this:

Open the Creative Cloud desktop app. ...
Scroll down to the app you want to install and select the More actions icon next to it.
In the drop-down list, select Other Versions.
In the list that appears, find the app version that you want to install, and select Install.

You can even use multiple versions of PS CC side by side.

*Sun, Sept 17, 2023 Adobe PS CC 25.x + Artisan + QMP plugins update*
Today we have identified all issues and found a solution for all of them. That includes the restore issue that was introduced earlier this year with the Adobe CC 24.4.x releases. We are implementing the solutions in both Artisan and QMP and will test it extensively and we think that by the end of next week they will be available for download through the Adobe Marketplace (pushed like all Adobe apps so keep an eye on 'updates' in the marketplace and free of charge of course since it's a technical fix). We may add a few bonus features that we had in mind for some time, but only if it doesn't slow down the technical fix update. It depends also on how fast Adobe will approve our new versions. So for the time being, keep using the previous Adobe v2.4.7.1 version till we've released the updates.

*Monday, September 18, 2023 - Update Artisan Pro & Quick Mask Pro release re PS CC v25.x*
All issues have been solved and then tested. Submitted to Adobe for approval. If everything goes according to plan then tomorrow the new updates are available on the Creative Cloud desktop app.
Updates consist of: making both plugins compatible to the latest Adobe PS CC25.x and previous versions + Slight performance improvement + Restore works like a charm now.
Since we're already at it: we aim to add a few new (smaller) features in the coming week(s) to make up for the inconvenience. If you have suggestions for new features, put them in the comment and we'll consider it.

Update Wednesday, September 20, 2023:

Adobe just approved and published the updated versions of Artisan Pro and Quick Mask Pro, on the Adobe Marketplace. Just navigate on the Creative Cloud Desktop App to Plugins > Manage Plugins and install the latest versions. They're respectively called Artisan Pro 2024 and Quick Mask Pro 2024 since they are now fully compatible with Adobe PS CC 2024. This implies that also the latest version of Adobe PS CC 2024 is recommended for installation. In about a week from now, we will add a few new features to the Artisan Pro panel to make up for the inconvenience caused. Free of charge. It will be pushed through the Adobe cloud, the same way as this update.
